Syntheses, Structures, and Nonlinear Optical Properties of Two Crown-like Heteroselenometallic Compounds [Et4N]4[(μ5-WSe4)(CuX)5(μ-X)2] (X = Cl, Br)

Two isostructural crown-like heteroselenometallic cluster compounds, [Et₄N]₄[(μ₅-WSe₄)(CuX)₅(μ-X)₂] (X = Cl 1, Br 2), were prepared from the reactions of [Et₄N]₂[WSe₄] with CuX and [Et₄N]X· xH₂O in the presence of 2-picoline and characterized by single-crystal diffraction analysis. The [(μ₅-WSe₄)(Cu-X)₅(μ-X)₂]⁴⁻ anions in the cluster compounds consists of five CuX fragments coordinated to the five edges of the tetrahedral [WSe₄]²⁻ moiety along with two bridging halides connected to each of the two pairs of the symmetric copper atoms, exhibiting a novel crown-like core structure. The nonlinear optical absorption and refraction of cluster compound 2 were determined to be α₂ = 6.15 × 10⁻¹⁰ m/W and n ₂ = 4.18 × 10⁻¹¹ esu, respectively.     

A vanadium(IV) phosphite with a pillared layered structure: hydrothermal synthesis and characterization of (VO)4(4,4'-bpy)2(HPO3)4

A novel vanadium(IV) phosphite, (VO)(4)(4,4'-bpy)(2)(HPO(3))(4), was hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. This compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system with the space group C2/c and cell parameters a = 35.970(3) A, b = 15.9400(13) A, c = 10.7681(7) A, beta = 101.073(4) degrees, and Z = 8 with R(1) = 0.0482. The structure of the compound consists of trigonal bipyramidal [VO(4)N] and pseudopyramidal [HPO(3)] blocks, which are connected by corner-sharing, to form vanadium phosphite layers in the bc plane. These layers are further linked through 4,4'-bpy pillars, generating a 3D framework. Thermogravimetric analysis and magnetic susceptibility data for this compound are given.     

呋喃西林水溶液在光和热作用下的稳定性

The influence of both light and heat on the stability of nitrofurazone aqueous solution was studied. Results show that in either heating experiments or the exposure to light at high temperatures, the degradation rate obeyed zero-order kinetics. The total rate constant ktotal caused by both light and heat can be divided into two parts: ktotal =kdark klight, where kdark and klight are the degradation rate constants caused by heat and light, respectively. The klight can be expressed as klight=Alight*exp(-Ea,light/RT)*E, where E is the illuminance of light, and Alight and Ea,light both are experimental constants. The values of these kinetic parameters were determined based on the experiments in the dark and upon exposure to three different light sources. Results show that the values of Alight and Ea, light varied with the light source. To save time, labor, and drugs, exponential heating experiments were employed and compared with the isothermal experiments. Results indicated that kinetic parameters obtained by exponential heating experiments are comparable to those obtained by isothermal experiments either in the dark or upon exposure to light.     

[（n—C4H9）4N][EuxM1—x（TTA）4]（M=La、Sm、Gd、Tb）的光致发光

合成了一类组成为[(n-C4H9)4N][EuxM1-x(TTA)4](M=La、Sm、Gd、Tb）的固体配合物，通过测定其红外光谱，X射线粉末衍射谱和荧光光谱，研究了配合物结构和发光性质随Eu^3 浓度变化的规律。红外光谱和XRD谱的分析结果表明，在体系中没有新化合物生成，而荧光光谱分析结果表明发光强度与Eu^3 浓度不成线性关系，不发光的基质配合物组分对发光有不同大小和不同类型的影响，提出一种可能的发光机制解释这一共发光现象。     

Low-dimensional hybrid copper halides with novel D6R Cu(6)I(6) cores

Two low-dimensional hybrid copper halides, (2,2'-bipy)Cu(3)I(3) (1) and (2,2'-bipy)Cu(4)I(4) (2) (2,2'-bipy = 2,2'-bipyridine), with novel D6R (double six-membered rings) Cu(6)I(6) cores were synthesized by hydro(solvo)thermal reactions and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction.     

Effects of Self—coiling of Organic Molecules on Intramolecular Exciplex Formation and Fluoresscence Quenching in DX—H2O Solvent System

Effects of self-coiling of organic molecules on intramolecular exciplex formation of compound I,in which the carbazole chromophore and terephthalic acid methylester acceptor group are linked by one (CH2)10 chain,and the decrease of the fluorescence intensities of compounds Ⅱ，Ⅲ，and Ⅳ,in which the carbazole chromophore and 3,5-dinitrobenzoate are connected by one aliphatic chain of (CH2)10 (Ⅱ），（CH2）12（Ⅲ）,or (CH2)4(Ⅳ）,have been studied in the dioxane (DX)-H2O binary system.The results show that self-coiling of organic molecules in DX-H2O facilitates intramolecular exciplex formation of I and induces the decrease of fluorescence intensities of Ⅱ,bacause of the proximity effect brought about by selfcoiling of organic molecules under hydrophobic-lipophilic interaction(HLI) between the excited carbazole chromophore and the acceptor.Since the similar effects are observed even when the concentration of the probes are less than their CAgCs(critical aggregate concentrations )in the DX-H2O mixture with the same φ values,formation of the intermolecular exciplex has been excluded.The effects are found to be strongly depended on φ values,indication that they are mainly driven by HLI.The properties of the acceptors can also affect the intramolecular exciplex formation.With terephthalic acid methylester moiety as the acceptor,the carbazole chromophore exhibits the fluorescence spectra of the exciplex,while with 3,5-dinitrobenzoate moiety as the acceptor,only the fluorescence spectra of excited carbazolyl chromophore are observed.     

Selective Inversion of the Proximal or Distal Hydroxyl Groups in syn,syn-3-[N-(Alkoxycarbonyl)amino] 1,2-Diols via Cyclic Sulfates

The formation of cyclic sulfates (4) from syn,syn-3-[N-(benzyloxycarbonyl)amino] 1,2-diols provides a common intermediate to access other diastereomers via two inversion procedures. Thermolysis of the cyclic sulfates in acetonitrile normally leads to inversion of the distal hydroxyl group to form a 1,3-oxazin-2-one (6). Catalytic hydrogenation of the cyclic sulfates under basic conditions (NEt(3)) results in inversion at the proximal hydroxyl group to form a 1,3-oxazolidin-2-one (5).     

Sesquiterpenoids and Phenylpropane Derivatives from Sonchus uliginosus

Six new compounds were isolated from the whole plant of Sonchus uliginosus, including three eudesmane‐type sesquiterpenoids (1β,6α)‐1,6,14‐trihydroxyeudesm‐3‐en‐12‐oic acid γ‐lactone ( 1 ), (1β,6α)‐1,6,14‐trihydroxyeudesma‐3,11(13)‐dien‐12‐oic acid γ‐lactone ( 2 ), and (1β,6α)‐1,6‐dihydroxy‐14‐O‐[(4‐hydroxyphenyl)acetyl]eudesma‐3,11(13)‐dien‐12‐oic acid γ‐lactone ( 3 ), and three phenylpropane derivatives, 4‐hydroxy‐γ,3,5‐trimethoxybenzenepropanol ( 6 ), γ,3,4,5‐tetramethoxybenzenepropanol ( 7 ), and γ,3,4,5‐tetramethoxybenzenepropanol acetate ( 8 ), together with the two known compounds 4 and 5 . The new structures were elucidated by means of spectroscopic methods, such as IR, EI‐MS, HR‐ESI‐MS, 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR, and by comparison of the spectroscopic data with those reported for structurally related compounds.
